S. Swan is an animator and illustrator born and raised in Columbia, SC. They had an interest in art from an early age, thanks to hours spent watching the Saturday morning cartoons and reading the Sunday comics, and they were encouraged by their family and teachers to pursue a career in the arts. They attended Spring Valley High School, where they studied under Josh Drews, recipient of the 2020 NAEA Secondary Art Educator of the Year Award.

Swan graduated in 2023 from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA in Communication Arts with a focus on illustration. They are currently enrolled in SCAD’s Master of Fine Arts program for animation.
